eLSA Symposium 2025
The conference proceedings of the eLSA Symposium 2025 will be published in early 2026 under the title “Open Source Software in Safe and Secure Embedded Systems” in both printed form and as an open access publication.
Open source software in safe and secure embedded systems: When it comes to secure embedded systems, Embedded Linux has been well established for years. On the other hand, Embedded Linux is being considered for many components, devices, and systems for the first time, as the significantly expanded regulatory context means that embedded software needs to be rethought in many areas.
When it comes to safe embedded systems, it is more likely that some people may have already dismissed the topic. There are a number of technical restrictions that prevent “Safe Linux” from becoming a reality for the time being. However, architectural concepts have been developed over the past three years that offer reliable, positively assessed solutions.
This edited volume presents cutting-edge solutions and approaches from both domains and places them in the context of state-of-the-art development environments along the V-model. The influence of current geopolitical changes is also examined. The contributions from academia and corporate R&D departments offer a well-founded and differentiated insight into current technological developments and reflect the state of the art of open source software in functionally safe and cybersecure embedded systems.
