Call for Papers

2nd eLSA Symposium - October 1-2, 2026 - Göttingen

Open source is transforming from a pure development model into the backbone of secure, trustworthy, and compliant software ecosystems.

For eLSA 2026, we are looking for exciting presentations that provide new inspiration and enrich the exchange within the community. Whether best practices, new technologies, regulatory challenges, or practical experience reports – your expertise is in demand!

Contribute actively to the eLSA Symposium and submit your abstract on one of the following topics:

  • Linux and functional safety
  • Linux and cybersecurity
  • Linux lifecycle management
  • Linux for the CRITIS sector

The call for papers runs until July 1, 2026. Take this opportunity to become part of the program and actively shape the future of safe and secure Embedded systems based on Linux.

The deadlines are:

Abstract submission

How to participate in the call for papers

Please submit your abstract and details online and send your documents to elsa-symposium@emlix.com.

  • Deadline for abstract submission: 01.07.2026
  • Notification of acceptance: 15.07.2026

Please submit your abstract as a text with up to 7,000 characters including blank spaces.

  • Include a summary regarding the key take-aways for the audience
  • Use English language

Please add the following information to your submission:

  • Names and company/institute of the presenter and co-authors
  • Title for your abstract and presentation
  • If available, list of previous publications or presentations on the topic
  • Short bio of the presenter(s)
  • Contact information of the presenter

Abstracts and presentations will be reviewed by the review committee.

With the submission of your abstract, you agree on publishing the title of your lecture and your name and company in the conference programme on the website and that your presentation will be published in a protected area on the eLSA website. Additionally you agree that a full paper of your lecture will be published in the proceedings after the event. The publication will also include a short bio of the speaker. We will provide you with the forms for approval of publication at a later date.

With the submission of your abstract, you agree to present your topic in person and on site.

Presentation and Paper Submission

Please submit your presentation and paper once your abstract has been accepted.

  • recommend up to 15,000 characters (incl. spaces)
  • language: English
  • images/graphics: resolution at least 300, better 600 dpi; good contrasts; please always provide images and graphics with an explanatory caption
  • formulas, code examples etc. preferably embed as an image

With the abstract submission you already agreed on publishing your full paper in the proceedings of the eLSA Symposium after the event. The publication will also include a short bio of the speaker.
